About Our Services
Facilitation and Process Design WHY: When organizational planning and change
occurs, much of the actual work involves people in group settings. Independent of content, facilitation is useful in any setting in which:
- People are being assembled for a common task
- Members all want to participate and not manage the process
- An independent or neutral perspective is needed or useful
- There are individual or institutional challenges in working together
- There is or is the potential for conflict over means and/or ends
WHAT: In our practice, facilitation is a collection of micro-level interpersonal and group process skills. When these are applied with an understanding of organizational requirements and
individual needs, the results include:
- Creation of a group environment of trust and creativity
- Documentation of group work
- Enhancement in the quality and speed of individual and group work
- Integration of diverse expertise and perspective
- Development of the individual and group basis for continued change and adaptation
Always mindful of the dangers of 'group think,' facilitation can also provide the kind of independent and neutral protection that assures that all voices are heard, that helps people view themselves
self-critically, and prevents groups, however well meaning, from rushing to judgment. Kunz and Company clients require and we provide a full range of facilitation services including:
- Design and Implementation:
- Planning, organizing and moderating meetings and other short and longterm multi-party interactions and negotiations
- Analyzing personal, interpersonal, group, and intergroup dynamics to identify areas of likely cooperation and conflict
- Developing and reviewing multi-party agreements, concept and consensus papers, and position statements
- Developing and reviewing agreement implementation, staffing, training, performance benchmarking, and evaluation plans
- Developing and reviewing associated costing assumptions and budgets
- Designing and managing systems to link multiple or parallel processes
- Providing neutral reporting and evaluation services
